VISION

In response to a lack of diverse representation in the field of architecture and design, Building Opportunities for Student Success (BOSS) was launched in 2018 to introduce, educate, and engage underrepresented and under-resourced young designers in architecture.

BOSS seeks to provide a pathway to the industry by offering workshops, professional design opportunities and experiences for first generation and underrepresented high school students.

Phase 1: Workshops

We facilitate hands-on introductory workshops during the school year and paid summer skill building programming and internship opportunities over the summer.

Our program enables students to build long term relationships with industry role models and mentors, valuable professional experience, personal and professional growth, and leave with tangible skills and a portfolio.

Students complete the program as strong candidates for architecture and design post secondary education and scholarships as well as post-graduate job opportunities.

Phase 2: Skill Building
